Course Objective:
 
 As a result of completing this course, students will be able to:
 
1. Define and defend the meaning and practice of inspired expository preaching.
2. To sharpen the expository, exegetical and interpretive skills of students.
3. To help students grasp the literary and theological “distinctiveness” of expository preaching and how they can employ it into sermon design and delivery.
4. Evaluate and describe the basic hermeneutical and homiletical principles and procedures in the expository sermon preparation process.
5. To provide students with additional practice and feedback in the designing, proclamation and evaluation of expository sermons.
