Course Objectives:
|
An in depth study of righteousness by faith in the work of Christ. We will cover the basics of the “bad news” concerning sin and the basics of the “gospel” or “good news” of salvation, including justification, sanctification, and glorification. At the same time, our aim is to explore the reasons for lack of consensus among Christians concerning the gospel. Special attention will be given to the “in Christ” theme of Scripture. This theme will be studied in terms of the freedom of God in imputing and imparting righteous in Christ; and the freedom of human beings in receiving imputed and imparted righteousness in Christ.
