Course Objectives:
 

A. To foster an attitude toward Adventist history that is both courteous and critical.
B. To provide tools that will enable students to critically analyze and evaluate SDA teachings, both past and present.
C. To provide an overall view of the historical-theological development of the major SDA doctrines.
D. To provide understanding of contemporary tensions in SDA theology in the light of their historic roots.
E. To provide understanding of the hermeneutics underlying SDA theology.
F. To indicate the relevance of SDA theology for the denomination’s mission.
