Course Objectives
The purpose of this course is to examine the background, nature, and interpretation of the parables of Jesus; to learn sound principles of interpreting them in the light of that knowledge; and to practice the application of those principles to Bible study and especially to preaching. While various parables will be used as examples, no effort will be made to expound all the parables in class.  Rather, the exposition of individual parables will mainly be left to the students as they practice applying the methods and principles which will be taught.
