PROGRAM SPECIFICS:
- The MA in Pastoral Ministry (MAPMin) is a 48-credit professional degree
- North American residents attend bi-annual, two-week intensives, conducted in most NAD unions
- Each site provides all necessary courses every four years
- Pre and post-class assignments are normally required for each course
- All intensive classes generate 3 credits
- Prospective students may take no more than 3 classes (9 credits) before formal application to the MAPMin is required
- Once accepted, registration cost are covered by union subsidies to the Seminary
- Course work should be completed within 10 years of beginning the program
TRANSFER CREDITS:
Upon approval by the dean, a maximum of 24 graduate credits may be transferred from approved seminaries or universities. A maximum of 8 credits may be transferred from another conferred degree.
DELIVERY:
The master schedule is organized to insure each union site receives all classes necessary to graduate. Normally, the full curriculum is repeated each four years eliminating most class repetition. This enables students to begin at any point in the program delivery and finish within the same union. The exception will be two required classes only taught at Andrews University just prior to the summer graduation.
