InMinistry MDiv Background

The North American Division Seminary Steering Committee began reviewing Adventist theological education effectiveness in 1997 under the leadership of NAD Vice President B.J. Christensen. Composed of NAD Union Presidents and Seminary representatives, they determined that improvements and additions be made as quickly as permissible to the existing on-campus program.

A "Dream Team," comprised of Seminary, Division, Union and pastoral representation addressed the finer points of implementation design and program launch. Key to the design of the InMinistry Master of Divinity option is the inclusion of contextualized learning in practical ministry, the supportive encouragement of an experienced pastoral mentor, collegial support and accountability, and learning targeted toward pastoral competency. The NAD Officers and Union Presidents Committee continues to monitor InMinistry's progress and authorize necessary adjustments for the Division.

Now, after several years of operation and revisions to the InMinistry MDiv, enrollment has more than doubled.  Additionally, the InMinistry Center has added the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry program to its delivery as well as oversee the Center for Continuing Education in Ministry.  Check out the schedule or programs to see which meets your ministry growth needs best.
