Course Objectives:

The aim of this course is to make a comprehensive study of
what the New Testament has to say about the church — its origin, nature, shape,  ministry, ordinances, and work. One aspect of that task will be to examine the background of the church in the Old Testament and in the Jewish and Gentile society of the time. Another aspect will be to take note of the problems and tensions in the church of the Apostolic Age, and to observe the trends in the church immediately at the
end of that Age. Throughout our study of these matters we will seek to find illumination for the guidance of the church today.
