Course Objective:


  • To enable the student to understand and be able to explain the development of the major Christian doctrines and denominations.
  • To enable the student apply this historical and theological understanding to the current practice of ministry.
  • To enable the student to communicate effectively with people of other faiths in an informed, constructive dialogue based upon a shared heritage.
  • To foster a renewed commitment to the beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church based upon a greater understanding of the development of Christian doctrines.
