1. Current issues in marriage and family will be discussed, and available resources explored. The dynamics of interpersonal relationships will also be examined and students challenged to emulate Christ’s example as they interact with persons from all segments of society.
2. Students will study the life of Christ in order to discover principles of social interaction that may be applied to their own interpersonal interactions.
3. Students will identify groups of individuals with whom they do not usually associate, and diligently seek to establish relationships with persons from those groups.
4. Students will examine the dynamics of their own extended families of origin and identify familial themes and styles of relating. The class will study Marriage and Family theory and research in order to deepen students' understanding and benefit for their own primary relationships.
5. Students will develop an individualized portfolio of resources related to the development and maintenance of sound interpersonal relationships.
