Course Objective:
|
Knowledge–upon successful completion of this course the student will:
1. To know the history and life story of Martin Luther - perhaps the greatest hero of the
Reformation.
2. To know the major theological ideas of Martin Luther.
3. To become familiar with the theological, political, historical context of Luther’s
world.
4. To establish and recognize Luther’s contribution to Protestantism in particular and
Christianity in general.
Skill–upon successful completion of this course the student will:
1. Read critically Luther’s writings
2. Research, evaluate and analyze Luther’s writings on selected theological topics
3. Develop an appreciation for the theological genius of Martin Luther
Values, Attitudes and Commitments–upon successful completion of this course the
student will:
1. To become spiritually enriched by the theological insights of Luther
2. To value Luther’s theological contributions and their impact on Adventism
3. To expand our theological horizon and wrestle with some of the theological ideas
that Luther struggled with
4. To commit to the spirit of Luther in expanding his reform
